Travel Guide: Hotels vs Bed and Breakfasts

Hotels vs Bed and Breakfasts

There are so many choices when it comes to booking a vacation. Deciding whether to drive or fly, what to do while you’re there and most importantly, where to stay. Should you stay in a plush hotel or opt for a cute bed and breakfast? If you’re feeling a little nervous about booking a bed and breakfast instead of a hotel for your next vacation, we’ve got you covered. We’ve rounded up some of our favorite things about staying in a bed and breakfast below!

Cost

There’s nothing worse than spending hundreds on a hotel room that is uncomfortable, crowded, and keeps you up all night. Not only do you get to spend the weekend in a place that feels like a home away from home, but you can also get away with paying a little less than you would for your typical hotel room. The comfort of a bed and breakfast can’t be beat!

Space

There’s no doubt that hotels just can’t compete when it comes to the amount of room B&Bs can offer! When renting a B&B, you have so much more than a bed and a bathroom. You get full access to the kitchen, living areas, outdoor spaces, and so much more! The best part is you can go to sleep whenever you want and don’t have to make your schedule revolve around whoever else is on the trip with you.

Flexibility

Planning a vacation can be stressful. So when you have to book a flight that works with a hotel check in or check out time, it can make things REALLY stressful! So instead of worrying about super strict guidelines for check-ins and check-outs, you can plan your trip with more ease and convenience! We work with our guests to ensure we give them a perfect stay, from start to finish.

Location

If you’re looking for a hotel room near historic downtown, Pawhuska, or Dewey, you might quickly realize the location is a huge factor when it comes to cost. Instead of spending a premium for being a few minutes closer, you can likely find a B&B that is pretty close to where you want to be and doesn’t come with the premium price-tag.

A Better Experience

One of our absolute favorite parts of owning a bed and breakfast is the experience we get to pass along to our guests. We do our best to help our guests experience Bartlesville, Dewey, and Pawhuska the way we get to experience it every day. You can’t beat the recommendations, the personal touches, and the feeling of home that a bed and breakfast can offer!

If you’re looking for alternate-accommodations, we can guarantee you won’t be disappointed with Bar Dew Valley Inn. What are some of your favorite parts about staying at a bed and breakfast? Let us know in the comments below!
